Carissa Rose Brown, the founder of the Carissa Rose clothing line, began sketching her own designs at the young age of 11. For years, Carissa and her mother, Helene Rose, would collaborate on creating unique and feminine styles that flattered the female form.

Approximately 20 years and three children later, Carissa began to have her shirts custom made, specifically with the hook-and-eye closure. With hook-and-eye closures, her shirts fit smoothly around the bust line - no gaps; no pulls; no holes. During Carissa’s fourth pregnancy in 2007, she launched the Carissa Rose line honoring her mother who unexpectedly passed away from an aneurism in her sleep.  After several months of grieving her mother’s loss, Carissa found inspiration and began to pursue her dream of launching a clothing line that offered various bust proportions in high-quality fabrics and clean and tailored styles that fit the female form. Carissa Rose was launched in 2008 in honor of her mom, Helene Rose.

The Carissa Rose clothing line has grown steadily over the last few years to a full-time fashion house, which is located in Dallas, Texas. Because of the growth, in 2010, after Carissa had home-schooled her children for six years, she and her husband made the decision to enroll their children in traditional school so that she could manage and oversee the day-to-day operations as the CEO of the Carissa Rose clothing line.

Inspired by non-conforming designers such as Claire McCardell, Madeline Vionnet and Madame Gres, the Carissa Rose collection is structured and streamlined, celebrating the female form. Carissa’s philosophy is to create wearable, empowering styles that incorporate the best aspects of classic American sportswear.
